Extreme Weather Sourcebook
- Created by the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR), this site offers easy
access to data on the economic damage from hurricanes, floods, and tornadoes in the United
States and its territories. Time spans for each type of extreme weather vary, with
hurricane data covering 1925-95, tornadoes 1950-95, and floods 1983-96; however, all
damage data is reported in constant 1997 dollars to simplify comparisons.
